Museu Europeu d’Art Modern

This prestigious museum was founded in 2003 showcase contemporary figurative art in both painting and sculpture: sculpture featuring prominently. As an outgrowth of Richard MacDonald’s work in London, where he focused intensively on the Royal Ballet, the artist was invited to show a 25-year retrospective of his work at the Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona. This European Museum promoted the exhibition of the celebrated American sculptor and referred to him as a “genius” of figurative sculpture.
