First Position Attitude was conceived after Richard MacDonald explored the excellence in performance through pieces such as Nureyev and The Doves. These pieces triggered an inquiry into the beginning phases of attaining such excellence. Thus, First Position, Attitude was born. The confidence one finds in Nureyev’s leaps can also be found in the attitude of this young boy’s stature.
