In Clarity, the artist uses a contemporary approach to communicate a sense of timeless wisdom. The figure represents the dichotomy of both the female form and psyche: an inherently graceful and curved figure, yet inhabiting a strikingly sharp and angular position. The tension in her body, from the tips of her feet to the tips of her fingers, embodies a corresponding tension seen in the world today; a tension she inhabits by default but fights against - note the serenity of her face. The column of the sculpture gives an inherently classical feel to an entirely modern sculpture, making it fascinatingly statuesque depicting ancient times.
