US Open Study I was created during Richard MacDonald's exploratory and discovery stages in the creation of his heroic sculpture, MOMENTUM, which marked the 100th Anniversary of the US Open Golf Tournament at the historic Pebble Beach Golf Links in 2000. US Open Study I is the original study that embodies the athleticism and focus required to triumph in one of the most challenging sports of our time.
